The quarterly magazine ”Fauna och Flora”, focusing on biology and popular science (mainly swedish fauna and flora), celebrates its 100th anniversary 2005.

It is since three years based at the Swedish Species Information Centre (ArtDatabanken) at SLU, Uppsala. ”Fauna och Flora” intend to stimulate the interest for Sweden’s fauna and flora, to increase the knowledge about species and conservation biology and to publish a mix of scientific articles and short popular paragraphs.

We regularly report from the ongoing project ”Swedish Taxonomy Initiative” which is also based at the Swedish Species Information Centre (ArtDatabanken). The magazine is richly illustrated with first class paintings and photographs in colour. Major scientific (or more popular articles) has a summary in English.
